We're outta here...

I've tried (kinda) to learn to love this blogger. However, I think I ruined things when I first started blogging through .mac. So, I'm returning. I won't be using this site anymore. Check out my new (old) blog.

See ya!

Thankgiving

Well, I've been told I'm not so good at updating my blog. I suppose life (and five kids) gets in the way. Anyhow, we are winding down from a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by family and friends. All told, we had 13 adults, 5 big kids, 8 toddlers and 1 infant. We had the standard turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, brown-sugar glazed carrots, rolls, macaroni casserole, artichoke dip, homemade cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, jello salad, chocolate cream pie, pumpkin pie and pecan pie and cider! WHEW!! Everyone did an amazing job contributing and the food was incredible. Those who care are winding up watching the Cowboys game upstairs. I believe we are winning, so that makes for a perfect Thanksgiving. Hope everyone else enjoyed their day (and food!) just as much!!

p.s. I made the mistake of handing Nick the camera and telling him he was in charge of taking photos, which means the ones he took were mostly out of focus and of his siblings sticking their tongues out. The ones above were the few I could salvage. Sorry!

Favorite new show

Just had to mention I love the new show Pushing Daisies. It is so cute and funny. You have to check it out!

Oh, sweet mystery of life at last I found thee....

The new super, incredible, not to be believed Wal-Mart is now here! Today was their grand opening and I stopped by for a quick look and was amazed and thrilled. It's in Highland Village right off of 407 (prior to the intersection with FM 2499) so it's about a mile from our house. Now, you may wonder what makes this Wal-Mart so special, since Wal-Mart isn't known for it's uniqueness...well, I'll tell you! The bakery, deli, and produce departments have much fresher and appealing items. There is a wider variety then you'll find at your usual Wal-Marts. It's HUGE!! I mean, bigger then any super Wal-Mart I've ever seen. The aisles are wider, it was built with recyclable materials (when feasible). Right out front is a huge, historic pecan tree that they built an amphitheater around with a grassy area and benches. Overall, it's just a different vibe. I love it and will NEVER move!!
